A long experience in Higher Education

  • The Centro Masterly is currently the managing body of the Higher School for Linguistic Mediators in Palermo, a special-order institution empowered by decrees of the Ministry of Universities dated July 31, 2003, published in the official gazette of August 28, 2003, and July 23, 2021, to grant degrees equivalent to university degrees in Language Mediation L12 and Translation and Interpreting LM94, under the terms of DM 59/2018.

  • On November 3, 1986, it founded the first functioning High School for Interpreters and Translators in Sicily, and on May 19, 1989, it obtained its recognition by decree of the Ministry of Education pursuant to Law No. 697 of 11-10-1986. Training in the broadest sense of the term constitutes the main purpose of the company, aimed initially at the activation of courses to prepare graduates for participation in public competitions in the legal (Judiciary and Lawyers), economic (banks) and professorships in schools and institutes of 1st and 2nd grade and later to create new professional figures such as interpreters and translators.

  • Important initiatives involved activities in the field of international events and congresses aimed mainly at the accreditation and integration of graduate interpreters and translators in national and international work contexts, in the absence throughout the region of similar professional figures.

  • The Centro Masterly, has collaborated with major international and national organizations such as OECD, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ettore Majorana Center, Superior Council of the Judiciary, Ministry of Merchant Marine, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of P.I., National Research Council, University of Palermo, University of Catania, Mediterranean Fair Authority, Messina Fair Authority.

  • The continuous evolution of Training poses new and important challenges to Centro Masterly , for this reason Centro Masterly has obtained accreditation as a Training Authority with DDS No. 72 of 01/02/2023, at Assessorato dell'istruzione e della formazione professionale della Regione Sicilia, as well as as an Employment Agency with D.D.G. No. 1866 of 12/07/2023 at Assessorato Regionale della Famiglia, delle Politiche Sociali e del Lavoro della Regione Sicilia.
